Strengthening International Collaboration in Agarwood Biotechnology: DASOS-One Visits UM Plantations in Malaysia
Advancing Agarwood Innovation Through International Partnerships
DASOS-One Plantations Inc. continues to strengthen its engagement in the international agarwood industry through collaboration and knowledge exchange in agarwood biotechnology.
Synbion Sdn. Bhd., a spin-off company of Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) under UMPSA Technology Sdn. Bhd., together with UMPSA Holdings Sdn. Bhd., recently welcomed Mr. Norbert Grimm, President and CEO of DASOS-One Plantations Inc., Germany, for a collaborative meeting and site visit at UM Plantations in Kota Tinggi, Johor, Malaysia. The engagement was also attended by UM Plantations Chief Operating Officer, En. Hairul Anuar.
The visit focused on strengthening international collaboration in agarwood biotechnology, particularly the application of OUDino, Synbion's innovative product for agarwood cultivation. During the session, the Synbion team demonstrated the OUDino inoculation process on agarwood trees, highlighting its intended application in supporting resin formation and the development of high-value agarwood products.
A significant outcome of the engagement was Synbion's successful securing of a two-year contract to supply 500 litres of OUDino to UM Plantations. This milestone represents an important development for Synbion and reflects growing opportunities for biotechnology-based solutions in the agarwood sector.
For DASOS-One Plantations Inc., engagements of this nature provide valuable opportunities to strengthen international relationships, exchange industry knowledge, and explore developments in agarwood cultivation and plantation management.
The collaboration also highlights the potential of research-driven biotechnology to support sustainable, high-value plantation development and expand opportunities for the global agarwood industry.
DASOS-One Plantations Inc. remains committed to continuous learning, responsible cultivation, and the advancement of agarwood development through international cooperation and innovation.
