why it matters
Conservation Through Cultivation
Agarwood plantations help reduce pressure on wild Aquilaria populations and play a crucial role in meeting global demand while supporting conservation efforts for the endangered species. Agarwood is one of the most expensive natural raw materials in the world — the high demand for its resin in the fragrance and traditional medicine industries makes it a lucrative crop.
