Government Assessment Confirms Strong Plantation Performance

In January 2026, our Aquilaria (Agarwood) plantations in Brooke’s Point, Palawan were independently inspected by a team of research specialists from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) – Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau (ERDB). The visit formed part of a Rapid Site Assessment conducted from January 19–22, 2026, evaluating the condition, growth performance, and development potential of our plantations.

This assessment represents the first Rapid Site Assessment conducted by the DENR on an agarwood plantation in the Philippines, highlighting the growing interest of government research institutions in the development of sustainable agarwood cultivation in the country.

During the assessment, the DENR research team carried out field inspections of established plantation phases, nursery operations, soil analysis, and biophysical evaluations of inoculated Aquilaria trees.

The findings of the report indicate vigorous tree growth, favorable soil conditions, and a plantation environment well suited for sustainable agarwood production. The assessment further notes that the plantations demonstrate strong growth performance and are progressing toward readiness for inoculation and long-term agarwood production.

This government evaluation reinforces our long-term strategy of building scientifically managed, sustainable agarwood plantations in Palawan, combining responsible forestry practices with advanced inoculation techniques to produce high-quality plantation-grown agarwood.
We are pleased to share selected excerpts from the official DENR Rapid Site Assessment Report below.
