Our Journey: From Hobby to Industry Leader
In 1998, it all started as a hobby of a couple owning a piece of land. As years passed, Honduran Mahogany trees were planted as the land continued to expand. The company was given the name Dásos (δάσος), a Greek word for forest or woodland.
Today, DASOS-One Plantations Inc. (DOPI) has hundreds of thousands of Honduran Mahogany trees and tens of thousands of Agarwood (Aquilaria Malaccensis) trees planted across privately owned land in the Philippines, including our main Agarwood plantation in Brooke's Point, Palawan.
From branches to roots, we are offering a wide range of high quality handmade products made of Honduran Mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla) such as: Table Tops Kitchen/Counter Tops, Butcher Blocks, Floating Shelves, Stair Treads…
DOPI is a registered Tree Plantation Company certified by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and a member of Sustainable Tree Farmers Group of the Philippines Inc. (www.treefarmers.com.ph).
Dasos-One Plantations Inc, (DOPI) has secured authorization from the DENR (Department of Environmental Resources) to propagate, harvest and process Agarwood and byproducts. We are proud to be one of the first plantations to have legal rights granted by the authorities. Our main plantation of Agarwood is in Brooke’s Point, in the heart of Palawan province; which is a biodiversity haven, making it perfect for culturing Agarwood.
